Saya Recoveries is a ****

Saya Recoveries is the worst debt collector and I’m wondering why companies still use them to collect on their behalf. I had an outstanding cancellation fee with planet fitness of R3670 and a lady by the name of Miriam from Saya called me about it. I made an arrangement that I’d pay R500 monthly until it was paid up. The debit went of R500 went off for 2 months and then she gave me a call and told me that I should pay using eft because there was a problem with the debit order. I greed and for 3 months I paid R500 to the account she sent me. Only to find that the debit orders never stopped. I was actually paying double. I called her and she did confirm that I was indeed paying double and it was their fault. She then transferred the call to her supervisor who instructed me to pay an amount of R170 on the spot so that my account would be paid in full. I did that and I asked for a paid up letter which she told me that I’d get in a month’s time. A month later, Miriam sent me a statement which showed that I still owed R560. I called her and asked her why she sent me the statement whereas her supervisor had confirmed that I had paid the account in full, she said she’d call me back, she never did. I called back a few days later and demanded to speak to their supervisor and they told me that the supervisor was busy. I called again several times and the supervisor was still nowhere to be found. I called again several month later and luckily I got of Miriam but she was of no help, I demanded to speak to the supervisor and finally I spoke to a guy who told me that my case was still under investigation and they’d send me a paid up letter as soon as the investigation was completed. A week later I got an sms from Saya telling me me that I needed to pay R1500 in 24 hours or legal action would be taken against me. Planet fitness also debited R299 from my account. I am now 100% convinced that Saya Recoveries is a ****ming company and I have handed over the case to lawyers whom I had to pay.
