Planet Fitness Account
I must say this company has no idea of communication etc. After closing an account in 2013 I receive a mail 25 months later that I need to pay over R23000.00 on 30 November 2015. Looking back on their communication I have also noticed that they don't state clearly how their final payments work and it's confusing. The amount was given and it was paid, and as it was signed and understood should this amount not be paid the the contract will still remain in full force, so the amount was paid and 25 months later they want to tell me a different story. I feel that their documents must state more clearly what they mean. <br> The biggest thing that i am highly upset about is that 2 years later they want to harass for payments and you as a customer thought after agreements the account was settled. What companies wait 25 months to contact for ''outstanding'' money? It doesn't make sense.<br> <br> By law you can't wait 2 years later and wake up and say oh you still owe us money.<br>

We have reviewed the documentation of your Planet Fitness account. The payment you made in October 2013 was a 50% discount of your arrears balance and at that time and the balance was brought back to R0 once the 50% credit note was passed on your arrears. Please refer to your addendum signed with Saya Recoveries, you will note that this payment was for arrear balance and that your contract still remains in full force, this addendum does not state your contract will be cancelled. There was also an Autorenewal clause on your contract with Planet Fitness, which means that it will bill monthly until a cancellation document is received 30 days prior to the end of your contract which was 1 June 2014.
The balance handed over to Saya Recoveries is the amount due on your Planet Fitness contract including our collection effort fees.
You will receive an email from our offices shortly with all the necessary documentation for you to review.
