Exploitation of consumer
<p>I had a contract with planet fitness approximately 5 or 6 years ago, which I cancelled telephonically and at the gym. </p> <p>After approximately 4 years I got contacted by planet fitness saying that I owe them R4k. I told them same was cancelled. The lady notified me that this should have been done in writing. Having read through my contract, it doesn't stipulate anywhere that this is the case.</p> <p>The lady then says that I should cancel my vitality!!! Which has nothing to do with my previous gym contract and I still use it? In 2016 I get contacted by Saya and I gave them the story.</p> <p> </p> <p>Now in 2017, I get a letter of demand saying that I owe over R6****!</p> <p> </p> <p>Please assist as I do not owe this money.</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p>

Nowhere in the contract does it stipulate that I should cancel my contract in writing. You are adversely affecting my credit record!!!!
Secondly, if that was the case, why does it take 6 years to tell me about this?
If you had botherered to respond to people, instead if just making threat via e-mail, I wouldn't have had to follow this avenue.
I have no interest in the statement as I have nothing outstanding. Ensure that you get this resolved as I will be taking action against you.
