Save hyper victoria
Bought meat from the butchery which was double labeled. This was only noticed when I got home. The first label stated a pack date which was 20/03/2020 and the label above it had 22/03/2021.i called the butchery manager, Paul and he was unable to assist stating that it has never happened before and will never happen at all. To my surprise I asked for the manager Indian and his approach was similar. 5 years monthly shopping at this place to fall for a piece of chicken! Hope they sort their **** out and stop leading people.

23 Mar 2021, 11:35Hi Kaylin. Thanks for reaching out here, Our manager tells us this was addressed at store level. He advised on the process of printing. Our printing machine prints in a set way/automatically, therefore not allowing it to print 2 dates as this is not possible. Thank you. Kind regards, Save

If it a machine error then I would accept that statement but do not act as if I am at fault here which your managers did just that. Please accept your actions and stop blaming consumers because the proof was sent to you guys. Easy way to check is to use the barcode from the query label and see if it left the shop, if not then how did I end up with it?

And the meat is already packed but I have the labels and receipt that I will be taking to them now and if no satisfaction is obtained from that I will take this matter forward, only because I was made to feel as if I am at fault.

23 Mar 2021, 14:39Hi Kaylin. We just checked our camera footage and according to this the chicken had only 1 label on it when it was checked out at the till point. We do not see a secondary label on it. Please if you can advise? Kind regards, Save

23 Mar 2021, 17:54I saw the footage but it was acknowledged as a possible error on your side by your butchery manager and he has apologized. I am still baffled as to how your barcoding system works, why couldn't the query label be scanned at the till point to see if it exited the store. It was as simple as that. Just like how you would scan any other item, just like that you guys could have scanned the first label. I explained to the manager that it was double wrapped with 1 label beneath the other, did you see on your footage if it has been double wrapped?
