Staff attitude the worst ever; makes me ashamed to be a South African

<p>Saturday, 7 January at around 6:45pm I visited the Minty's Sasol in Sunnyrock/Solheim to buy a 9kg bottle of gas. It was slightly chilly and raining a bit. Upon arrival, most of the petrol attendands were standing outside at the entrance to the convenient store.</p> <p>When they saw me with th gas bottle, the disapperaed as if someone released a snake. When I spoke to the lady at the cash register enquiring about gas availability, she immediately told me that there were no gas and she confirmed it with the other lady in the store.</p> <p> </p> <p>I challenged this, because it is summer and gas availability shouldn't be an issue. She immediately retracted and said there is gas.</p> <p>At that point I told her that I am going to report this incident; she then went to fetch a petrol attendant and I could hear one of the words between the language she spoke was "report".</p> <p> </p> <p>So they knew I was onto them.</p> <p> </p> <p>I ended up walking to the back where the gas is stored and low and behold, there were enough gas for a number of purchases.</p> <p> </p> <p>I have heard and seen all sorts of bad behaviour from South African retailer and other staff but this took the cake.</p> <p> </p> <p>Firstly, you should reprimand the staff; such lazy and dishonest behaviour should not be tolerated. They represent YOUR brand and they definitely didn't do you ANY favors!!!</p> <p>And here is a suggestion. Spend a LITTLE bit of money and add some sort of protection from the rain in the area where the gas is kept, maybe your staff would then be more open to serving customers!!!!</p>
