Sasol Garage ****** Me of R200 Petrol.

On the 29th June 2019 I visited a Sasol garage at the mentioned address. I requested R200 petrol to be filled into my 2019 VW Tiguan, as I wanted to make a quick trip to JHB. I am quite observant so I watched the petrol attendant filling the fuel. It showed the fuel being filled. However after paying and driving off I noticed my fuel indicator remained the same, including the range predictor. I went back to the garage and the manager dealt with the situation in an appalling fashion. He printed out a statement showing the fuel being dispensed, but why then did my fuel gauge and range on my NEW vehicle not move. This is **************** and I am sure there are other people who are victims of such ****s. In order to investigate further I drove to a nearby Caltex and filled another R200. My fuel gauge immediately moved including the range. That garage is not accountable for their actions and claim their instruments are calibrated. As a customer you have nothing protecting you. If there are other people they must come forth.

At the end of the day they stated telephonically to me that there machines dispensed the fuel. To me as a client I am not convinced and will never be convinced. I will use other petrol stations.

I applaud them for taking action, but ladies and gentlemen who in this day and age is prepared to go through all of that for R200 petrol. For me it's not about getting my money back. If such a thing is happening to people who are poor. How is this fair? Apparently the franchisee wants to take this the legal route. I am not here to defame sasol. Why would I even want for this to go to a court. Who has money for legal battles. As you can see i filled R200. I am a mere South African trying to get by each day. And when something so simple happens you don't need to be taken through great lengths. In fact if the people who you support day in and day out could just be more compassionate it would have been fine.
