Not a great effort by Sasol to assit clients.

On Friday, 11 September 2025, I filled my car with petrol at Sasol Parys. The previous week, a manager had informed me that customers would receive 75 points per litre of petrol purchased on Fridays.

When I wanted to pay, the payment system was down, and I waited approximately 20 minutes before being assisted. Eventually, the cashier offered a bank speedpoint machine to process my payment manually.

However, when I asked about receiving my points, I was told that the system was still offline and that there was no alternative way to record the points. I was simply informed that they were sorry but unable to assist further.

I understand that technical issues can occur, but in most cases, there are workarounds or contingency measures to prevent customers from being disadvantaged. As a result of this situation, I forfeited approximately 2,400 points, despite deliberately filling up at Sasol on that day based on the promotion.

I was contacted by Sasol and the filling station owner to inform that the points will be added to my loyalty card.
