job and then no job

so, in the society we live in where jobs are scarce and very hard to find my husband who has been job hunting for quite a bit goes through the most with SASOL LIMITED so after sending CVs and applying to various companies 3 weeks ago on the 29/08/2018 he received a call and sms about his application being successful and an employment contract being sent on email and it was to be filled out and sent through with a police clearance and ID copy and a link of where he could get the police clearance quick as it takes 2 weeks to acquire one via the SAPS... so we used the link and got the clearance and had to pay R550 or so for this to be sent immediately as we were given about 6 hrs to send a signed contract back with the clearance. the email stated work would resume within 7 days and no clearance no work, job was for administration clerk on contract for 18 months. so naturally there were contact details for queries and questions ********** 659 and email address ********** as well as ********** so we sent the contract as required and on time. we then decided to call in the above no. Friday the 31st just to find out if all was in order and we were told yes all was in order and would receive a call for work details no later then Monday afternoon 03/09/2018 . so naturally we waited... by wednesday still nothing we started panicking so we called in again and we were informed to wait he would contact us in a few minutes as he was checking on why no body has called my husband as yet ... he never called we kept on trying to contact Sasol and called that same number but it was either not answered, answered and dropped or answered but someone will check and call us back until this past Tuesday the 18/09/2018 the same people tell us my husband was supposed to have started work last week Monday already to our surprise no call nothing and we have followed up all this time, he again says i will call you back and we query this as it would have been the 1000th time he says that and never calls back so he says ok call me back in an hr and since then every time we call the ********** 659 there is no answer.... it has been a roller-coaster having to look for a job for so long and finally get one and then have the people make fools out of us after we have followed processes and done all that was needed. i mean it leads us to think perhaps this was a **** or jobs are being sold to the highest bidder... i mean you cannot have a job and sign a contract and all one minute and the next calls are being ignored and boom no job ... i find that SASOL LIMITED and their processes are not followed in hiring staff otherwise this fiasco ride we have taken the past few weeks would not have happened
