Gift Is Not Gifted In Customer Service

I've decided to write this review so I can bring to your attention Gift's unprofessional and utterly disgusting behaviour. I go to this petrol station almost on a daily basis and periodically I would get assistance from Gift. A few times I was helped by him I was less than pleased with his assistance. From holding hands with his female colleague while making funny noises, anything is possible with this man.

However, I would only like to bring to your attention one incident which took place on 18 May 2019. As I stepped into your garage I asked Gift if I could swipe for R20. I was completely horrified when he looked at me, and and went back to his Video call on WhatsApp. Now I've been in the service industry and I can tell you that his behaviour is completely unacceptable according our standards in this country. So I proceeded to ask him the same question and he quickly pointed in the direction of his colleague which suggested to me that he wanted the other cashier to help me. And I told him why can't he help me as I was speaking to him. Now during this entire incident Mr Gift was on his cellphone having the time of his life. Displaying a complete lack of respect for me as a customer, as well as a complete lack of respect for his employer.

Now I'm not sure if Sasol accepts and expects this sort of behaviour from its staff but I would really like to find out. So at this point I completely had it with Gift and his antics.

Finally, the cherry on the cake, is that he still had the audacity to have a screaming match with me about how he does not care. That's right, Gift could not care less about his job and his customers. I then decided to speak to a manager and the other cashier only gave me a number which I called with no answer. I then went back inside to get his name and you guessed it, instead of humbling himself down and keeping quiet like a good, well trained cashier should, Gift was at it again screaming at me and making a complete fool out of me in full view of customers. Causing one heck of a scene to the point where even I had to scream back. This is in stalk contrast to the service I normally get from his colleagues which is always friendly service with a smile. He seems to be the only Mr Cool Guy that couldn't care less wether he was at work or at the beach taking a tan.

As I mentioned earlier, I go to this garage almost on a daily basis. But after today's event, I will never, ever set fut in your garage and will make sure to tell all my friends, family and colleagues on social media and otherwise, to do the same. I'm in the transport business I speak to hundreds of people on a weekly basis... And I am rather good in marketing and advertising bad service. Unless of course, Gift apologises to me in person or he undergoes some sort of customer training so that he remembers what he is doing in South Africa in the first place. I think his attitude is unbecoming, he lacks professionalism and is far far below standard when it comes to customer service when compared to his colleagues.

I would like you to attend to this comaint as a priority as I didn't take this incident lightly. Because now I must travel further away to get petrol and snacks, costing me more money, thanks to Gift who is clearly not gifted in customer care.
