Expired food

On Tuesday morning, 18 March 2025, my son bought a lunch sandwich (R18.00) from Sasol Garage in Wilro Park Roodepoort. The sandwich was labeled that it was packed on 18 March 2025 and for use on same date.

When I went to pick him up from school in the afternoon, he informed me that he didn't consume the sandwich at lunch as it had a foul smell and noticed that the sandwich package had two labels on it (R18 masking the R31 label) the R31 label had an expiration date of 16 March 2025 of which contents were "Tuna". My son would not have bought this sandwich as he does not eat seafood and the R18 label did not mention the "tuna" content.

The Manager at the Sasol Garage dismissed my complaint by telling the cashier to give R18 as he was not in the mood to discuss this issue.
