Complaint Regarding Unfair Treatment at Sasol Jorissen

I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the treatment I received at your Sasol Jorissen store located at Cnr Dorp & Jorissen St, Polokwane Central, Polokwane, on 24.07 2024. I have been a loyal customer of Sasol and have always had positive experiences until this unfortunate incident.

On the aforementioned date, I visited your store at approximately [time of visit] to purchase a cooldrink. Due to a recent injury, I was wearing a gym top, jammy pants, and a moon boot. Upon entering the store, I was rudely informed by the staff that I was not allowed inside due to my attire. Despite explaining my injury and the reason for my clothing, I was denied entry.

The staff members, including the Manager, security & cashier named Christine, refused to assist me even when I suggested alternatives such as picking out the items I needed and paying through the window. Their behavior was not only rude but also lacked basic empathy and consideration for my condition. It was only after they recognized my husband that they reluctantly agreed to sell us the items we needed.

This experience was deeply distressing and unacceptable. As a customer, I expect to be treated with respect and dignity, especially when dealing with physical limitations. The conduct of your staff not only reflects poorly on the store but also on Sasol as a brand.
