Bullying Tactics

My niece had an incident at the Sasol in Parklands two months ago. The petrol attendant concluded the sale but forgot to take the hose out with the result that the whole petrol tank was pulled over and damaged her car when she attempted to drive away. **** happens and the poor attendant was fired but the response from Sasol with regard to the incident has been appalling. The manager did not apologise. In fact, he actually ignored her and she was feeling quite traumatised, understandably. She contacted head office to receive a response and they promised that the Retail Account Manager would phone her. No one did so a week later she managed to acquire the station owner's details and he said he would then take responsibility for the incident. Well, he took her to a ***** panelbeater who quoted just over a R1000 to fix her vehicle while she has received formal quotes from registered panelbeaters for between R 6000 and R 10 000. Furthermore, he refused to send her a copy of the quote. The correspondence that she has received from Head Office to date (two months later) basically states that they are not responsible for what happened, they are doing her a favour and if she wants to, she should go to the small claims court! Sasol and the owner must have insurance that covers these type of events. My niece should not be further inconvenienced but what has happened. The kind of money we are referring to is peanuts for a large corp like SASOL but of huge value to an unemployed student. Typical bullying tactics at play. How to make our youth become bitter and twisted and lose faith in humanity! Just shocking!

Absolutely no response! A month later. Clearly SASOL will just be ignoring this.
Sure makes for a negative experience
