Sasfin ********** debit order

I had an amount of R338 debited from my account on 2nd December 2019. The reference said SASFINHRS and a string of numbers. I called Sasfin the same day to be told they were offline and could not assist me. I called a day later and the switchboard operator put me through to an extension where no-one answered and I was asked to leave a message. I left a message for someone to call me. I waited another day for someone to get back to me. Finally on the 6th December I got through to Mulalo Mathobo at Sasfin. She asked me for my surname and nothing could be picked up on their side as I have no dealings with Sasfin. Then I provided her with the reference number for the debit. She said this number did not match their reference numbers. Clearly this was a ********** debit order. I sent her an email with all the relevant debit order details and received an undeliverable report. However I contacted my bank and reported this ********** debit order and haf the debit order reversed. Please be wary and check your bank account regularly for unauthorised debit orders.

I was able to resolve my query with Sasfin. I was unaware that the insurance premium on my excess would occur from date of purchase as I was advised at the dealership that my instalments for my car would occur from January 2020 and that all insurances were inclusive so that I would have one debit order for all amounts due. However they did not advise on the Sasfin debit order. Sasfin was able to sort this matter out satisfactorily to both our benefit. Thank you Sasfin
