Wrongfully assessed and garnished by SARS

SARS has done an auto assessment for my 2025 tax, only to get emails saying Im owing 147,000.I was then garnished 1,500.When I went to SARS on July 20 to dispute the auto assessment outcome ,I asked for the records for the amount I was told I am owing.Surprisingly they couldnt give me anything and when I asked how did they conclude on such an amount they couldnt give me an answer except that there was a mistake on their assessment.I never received any lump sum the previous year and my bank charges are less than 400 rands. After spending almost 3 hours Mr Khumalo (branch manager)said they will try to resolve this,all I wanted was for them to block the garnishee but they said its not doable cos ‘their system didnt allow them’ .I did an affidavit to dispute the outcome and waited.There was no communication from SARS after my dispute and I decided to file a formal complaint to tax Ombuds on the 11th of August, I filled the forms and awaited their response.I then received a final demand email from SARS, which surprised me because no communication was done after my dispute.When I sent an email to the Ombuds office regarding the email ,I received a call from Ombuds as a response to my complaint on the 31st of August.The Ombuds office told me that I was given an extension for resubmission so they cant assist because that extension has expired.I told them I have never received any communication from SARS hence the formal complaint.They told me to go back to SARS to FIX this because they cannot.I went back to the Newcastle branch to FIX IT again, I am still awaiting a response again.Hoping this time around they will communicate.To my surprise again an amount of 3, 600 has once again been garnished on my payslip.

This is totally unfair and frustrating.Im paying for SARS mistake,a mistake they cant even account for ,they cant even show me any records except for saying there was a mistake but still they keep taking my money, causing me unnecessary costs and to miss my other payments for absolutely nothing.Im so angry,I want my money and this must be fixed.
