worst sars ever... even home affairs gets things done better!!!
You would think that Sars in Umhlanga would be more efficient given the area but you are sadly mistaken. If i could give this place 0 stars I would because wow. Under the circumstances of COVID19 these people are ridiculous. The website did not state that it is now COMPULSORY to make an appointment to see any tellers for anything you needed.(it was then changed) So you stand in the a long line for hours and when you finally get closer to the front they tell you that you need a appointment to see the tellers!!! BTW you stand in the line for 2 hours while it rained on the 1st of September!Oh but the tellers are very nice so everyone says. Sitting behind their desks waiting for their 11am appointment as they are done with the 9am appointment at 10am... They chilling googling, shopping on the internet and the NERVE of that branch manager to dare tell me at the exact moment there was not 1 person been served at any teller that he cant assist anyone as he is following protocol... Useless is an understatement. Wasting peoples time and resources having this branch... Supposed to be efficient they say but clearly it goes without saying if the manager is unaware of what's happening with his staff then obviously there will be no smooth sailing!!! BTW onus was on Security to let everyone know outside before they came inside that an appointment is needed before been seen too, while there's 5 people standing in front with the manager and smiling while turning every person away and telling them come back another time! I am at a loss for words... And on top of that you call the callcentre to make an appointment and you on the phone for 20minz with still no answer THEN you try the website and then still it won't even click to the next available appointment. So you tell me?? You have more hope at HomeAffairs than here honestly. Cold and raining elderly people stood outside hoping to get their tax sorted as early as they could but no.... everyone has "protocols" and "procedures" oh btw we were social distancing in the lines outside for 2 hours and the chairs that not a single person sat on inside was also marked for social distancing. So maybe I'm Moses but clearly this is useless service
From the higher management right down... They have no compassion even for the elderly honestly!
