VAT Registration - Worse Service Ever !!

I always tough people were lying about the slow and pathetic service that the revenue service gives us until I started my business. I finally built up a business that is big enough for VAT registration. Then I app**** for the first registration on the 28th of July 2022 (Ref number: 432 111 579). Silly me tough they would contact me and give me feedback within the 21 working days (as they say they will). Then on the 18th of September 2022 I decided to phone in again and just follow up. Since it was months without an answer. The person on the line the explain to me that they can't open the files. That is 8 weeks after submission!!! And I had to phone and ask what is going on!!! Then I have to resubmit, with a lead time of another 21 working days ..... I have lost so much business because of this already... I never tough I would say this but I understand now way SARS is falling apart. So for anyone out their trying to do their VAT registrations, try and do this about 4 years in advance. Then you might get something right !!
