Useless SARS

We have been waiting for more than 18 months for a tax clearance from SARS to enable our Attorneys to release my mother's estate to us. She died in 2020. We are now almost in 2023 and we have had ZERO response from SARS. It seems they are just as useless as ESKOM and TRANSNET. Our attorneys ask for an update every week and they get nothing except "In progress". She owes no tax as has been confirmed by SARS via E-filing and via an email to our attorneys. Yet still nothing.

What is worse is that our attorneys have over 150 estates sitting in the same situation, just waiting for a tax clearance for the useless SARS. Is this what BEE has accomplished? Turned a once excellent service into something utterly useless? And who can you complain to? NO-ONE. Our attorneys have escalated the issue many times. Each time they receive an email saying "This problem is receiving our attention". THAT IS THE ONLY ATTENTION IT RECEIVES: A USELESS MEANINGLESS EMAIL. How BEE has destroyed you SARS.
