Two and a half months later, still no refund!

On 16/07/2015 I submitted my tax return. My return is very simple as it is purely my salary with my medical aid and RA deducted. I called two or three weeks later after not hearing anything, to be told I was being audited. For some reason SARS feels they should audit me every year. I waited another two weeks and was told it was still being audited but the audit date would lapse on 31/08/2015. I called on the 02/09/2015 to be told I was still being audited. When I pointed out that the audit date had lapsed, the agent agreed and said she was escalating it for payment. I called again on Wednesday 23/09/2015 only to be told I was still being audited. When I pointed out that the audit date lapsed nearly a month ago, the agent agreed with me and told me it was being escalated to a \team leader". I have still heard nothing and have no idea when my return will be paid out. My tax is always deducted on time and is always paid. The least that SARS can do is ensure that my return is completed in a timely manner. Waiting two and half months (so far) is ridiculous!!!"""
