Threatening to take money from my salary

Hello Peter<br> When I did my e-filing for 2015 in August last year, it showed that my 2012 tax return was outstanding which it was not. I thought the best would be to send it in as I was sure SARS would see that it was submitted in 2012. It was also audited and SARS paid me the money that was due. I could not understand why SARS was not paying me my money due for 2015, I enquired only to find out that 2012 still showed outstanding. I was told to write a letter and explain that it was submitted and that they should take it off the system. When I enquired again I was told that I owe SARS about 10 000 for 2012. I then went in to the Alberton Branch and after waiting for 2 hours a consultant sent in an objection with documents explaining that I do not owe SARS money. Instead of deleting the 2012 outstanding return they removed the medical and RAF. The consultant said it would take 30-60 days to correct. I have now received 2 sms demanding payment and threatened with legal action. Today I received a phonecall from SARS saying that if I do not pay the 10 000 it will be deducted from my salary. This is not fair as SARS owes me money. I am a widow and cannot afford deductions.<br> M. Louw
