TAX collecters with NUMBER problems?

My father died in 2023. His will is/was administered by ABSA. Someone made a mistake with an account number. Now ABSA maintains that they cannot find anyone from SARS to help settle this matter! Apparently there was an ACCOUNT MISTAKE. How can an institution who work with taxes have people who cannot take an account number down correctly. We all make mistakes...BUT...The problem is according to ABSA who has now taken TWO years to complete my father's estate due to their agents not being able to sort this out with SARS, who seems to have this outrageous elaborate system to get someone to contact them or get someone on their telephone lines to sort out a stupid ACCOUNT NUMBER ERROR!
