"special stopper" refund avoidance mechanism

I filed on eFiling and the outcome was a refund of R38k (which is what I expected as I was unemployed for 5 months and had paid a lot of tax in the other 7 months of the tax year)

No surpirse I was selected for verification - I went in to SARS Randburg and supp**** all docs and recieved a completion letter stating that my orginal assesment was correct

Now I have been fighting for the refund for 2 weeks

I have a "special stopper" on my account? Which comes with a different explaination each time I phone. When I complain using efiling I am sent letters stating that my complain is not valid?????

SO not only does SARS not pay refunds they also decide if I am allowed to feel aggrieved?

Today I was told that I am "still being audited" but my letter, Statement of account says I am not being audited??????

I have paid over R10m in Taxes in the last 11 years and I get nothing back for it - no social benefits etc usually I have to pay in and I do it when I submit my return. Now because I finally qualify for a refund I am subjected to this nonsense

THIS IS WHY PEOPLE AVOID PAYING TAX!!!! If you are going to treat honest, hardworking taxpayers in this way they will also start to clim all of those stupif deductions and hire professionals to find loopholes

I dont even claim a travel allowance or tax free savings, I take my compay IRP5 and medical aid IRP5 complete the form and submit and I expect you guys to provide me with clear, understandable correspondence - IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK?????
