Special Stopper

<p>I need some advice please. I submitted my tax return at the beginning of July and was selected for audit which I had to wait about 3 weeks to hear from. I was then told that there had been a "special stopper " placed on my return which meant that I had to submit all sorts of personal documentation, which I did on the 10th August at a SARS office in Paarl. I was told that all is in order and the turn around time for a special stopper is 21 working days. The 21 days are up tomorrow so I decided to call them today to be told that there is NO turn around time set for this kind of special stopper and that I was misinformed by SARS staff and call agents, all of which were telephonically recorded. They make up their own rules and suit themselves. How can you take on a case with NO turn around time. We are being taken for a ride</p>
