South African Racketeering Services - 21 + Days "turnaround time"

A refund was recalled on 15 September 2021 and taken from my bank account without notice. I now understand that SARS has the authority to take money as they please, whether it leaves your account in overdraft or overdrawn (this does not concern them at all). I was then requested to submit supporting documents so that the initial recalled refund could be sent back to me AGAIN (so why recall the refund in the first place?). I was told that it would take 21 working days for the whole process to take place and that my refund would be sent back to me. I since submitted the requested documents on 18 October 2021 and have since waited for the case to be resolved along with my refund. My case number has changed well over 4 times because each time I call to check progress on my case, a new case number gets issued. All the call centre agents are good at saying is the following: "it will take 21 working days for the case to be resolved"

It's day 25 now!
