I have had complication with regard to submitting my income tax as my previous employee did not obtain a tax directive. After months of fighting, they finally did it and I was able to submit my return which I did on the 29th October 2015. My husband submitted his on the same day as we worked for the same company, He was paid out his refund no problems, within 3 days. I was told that I needed to pay R1800 for my business - and that was why my refund was being held up. So, I paid the R1800 the next day and thought that was the end of it. This whole time I have been continuously checking my efiling and there are NO alerts - it says my assessment has been received and assessed. I have been calling into SARS for the past WEEK and have been told that I am being audited. So I asked why and what they are requiring of me for the audit - I was told, \Only the auditing department can tell you that but they cannot take calls". Then this morning I went into Umhlanga SARS and was REFUSED help by the receptionist! She told me that they are unable to help me and I must simply wait 60days. I then called again and was told that I must go into the branch!!!!!! Nobody can give me a reason!!!"""
