SARS will Never Learn

Yesterday, I visited SARS in Bloemfontein in order to respond to their Final Demand to Submit Outstanding Returns. Despite the due Covid19 Protocols in place, I was advised that the staff cannot assist me if I do not carry an Affidavit from SAPS that shows that visit to SARS is for the purposes of filing Returns. I went to the Bayswater Police Station to get the said Affidavit. The police there told me that there is no such arrangement with SARS and they have never issued such an Affidavit ever. How does SARS expect the police to issues documents that they are not aware of?
