Sars wants our NPO to pay tax

have such a big dispute that is not ending with Sars agents since May, we have been trying to get a tax exemption certificate since May this year, dealt with one clueless agent to the other, misinformation and everything in between, our NPO was registered as a company instead of a NPO and now we are required to pay tax and complete the ITR14 form, when we went to the branch in Edenvale we where advised that we don't need to submit the ITR14 as the NPO doesn't have to pay tax, we send all the documents to Mr Maphane in Sars who told us he got all the documents and it was send to the TEU, we waited over a month and when I contact them, they said the documents was incomolete and I have to resent everything and complete the ITR14 on efilling and Mr Maphane who has never advised us of such, He later came back and said the branch can't assist with the TEU all they do is submit a request and the TEU is the one that deals with it, I then got in contact with Madam Namane from the TEU who is very helpful and advised me that without the ITR14 they can not assist us to get the tax exemption certificate certificate, my question is how can an NPO pay tax and where will the NPO get the money from to pay says, I hope to hear from Sars urgently
