SARS UNFAIR DEBITS ON PAYSLIP

Where do i even begin.... I'm writing this review because SARS has destroyed my life and finances and continues to do so even after i made a request to suspend payment because of the ongoing disputes that i have going on. last year i recieved SMS's saying that i need to pay sars over R40000, i immediately thought that this was a **** because i dont even earn double digits in a month and i also never submitted any tax returns dating back to 2019 because i did not understand the whole returns thing. However to my surprise Sars was auto assessing my returns with no medical certificates and basically demanded money from me. in december 2021 i went to horizon view office where i met a consultant at the door who advised me that you need to make a booking online to speak to someone but advised me to submit my documents and log a dispute which i did, i recieved a email which stated that my documents was successfully submitted.. i still tried making a booking which never happened because there was never available dates i then thought i'd wait for feedback regarding my dispute. in april 2022 while on holiday with my family i recieved my payslip and almost had a heart attack when i saw my balance when i checked my payslip i saw almost a whole 3K being deducted straight off my payslip from SARS. nobody contacted me to make a payment arrangement suitable for me or even to explain how do i owe so much money to them. i was trying to get a consultant to call me even tried booking online again to go in but had no luck whatsoever, i checked my dispute only to find it was saved and not submitted so i made a new dispute in may 2022 to suspend payment and also for late submission...i also amended my returns and uploaded my medical certificates and everything else needed and found that after my amendments each return shows different amounts due to me. it has been 3 months since the disputes were made and i still have no progress yet SARS continues to take my money... it has affected me so badly, i am unable to fulfill my debt commitments , my ITC score is being negatively affected , i cannot afford to travel to work , i cant even take care of my baby. I'm now even forced to sell my car because i cannot go another month without missing my debit orders. i am suffering from depression and anxiety because of everything going on all because SARS decided to take my money without consulting me first. on the 12th of august 2022 i called and spoke to a consultant to find out the status of my disputes she advised me that disputes can take up to 60 days and verification of income takes up to 21 days , i explained my situation and how i cannot afford to go on like this and she advised me to email *** and ask if they could contact my hr to suspend debit on my payslip because of the ongoing disputes, which i did and i still havent recieved feedback, it has been 4 long straining months and i still havent gotten anywhere i just want to know where is the sense of urgency when attending to disputes and requests or emails when tax payers like myself need answers or something done to make our lives easier. why doesnt SARS automatically stop taking my money until the disputes are over and why do i have to call everytime to get a progress report? you guys were quick to do your deductions and have been on time every month when will i get to breathe again and start building myself up again because of what you guys are doing to me this is inhumane and so unfair i am a mother and i work very hard and pay my taxes every month... you guys should have consulted me on a payment arrangement until the disputes where solved why is nothing being done yet you still take my money.., i am frustrated , and i am drained financially physically and mentally because of this. i need answers and this **** needs to be resolved with a matter of urgency because it cannot go on like this... if i have to wait any longer we going to have to take this up legally so that i can be assisted faster and effectively.
