SARS the highway ******s.

Submitted return, sent for auditing for the 10th year in a row, asked for myriad documentation as usual - documentation supp**** in SARS compliant format with infinite care and detail (due to previous confrontations with SARS). Within 10 minutes of submitting docs. an "adjusted assessment" was generated removing all items that I am entitled to claim in compliance with the SARS rules. My claim was reduced by 85% and paid in to my account within days with no explanation. Needless to say, I have lodged a Notice of Objection. Is SARS a law unto themselves? This should not be a negotiation, there are guidelines on what someone can claim and how to do it. Does a SARS "official" have complete veto to reject a claim with no reason? Is this the level of arrogance, incompetence that they have reached?
