SARS Technically Taxed?
The second annual IRP6 is due 28th February. It is available on line for e-filers. However it contains a systems error, about which SARS people are either ******** or in denial.
The issued IRP6 form that downloads on efiling, refuses to accept figures on line 5 (reading from the top). The line reads:
- Medical scheme tax credit
The space is embargoed and will not take any figures. This fault results in an incorrect provisional tax calculation.
Contacting the efiling Help service results in talking to people who know very little and are sadly unable to help, except that they offer to \escalate"the problem and one hears nothing thereafter.
Case numbers are allocated to one's query without result and call-centre folk speak in unintelligible diction and/or are basically ******** of their field.
Emailed complaints are rewarded with an automatic reply which promises a reply 21days.
