SARS TAX REFUND DELAY

On 5 December 2020, I received an email from SARS saying there a tax refund for me and they were still verifying my banking details and it will take 10 days to so. Then on 8 December I uploaded documents of my banking details to expedite the verification process. But on 12, 19 and 20 December, SARS sent me the same letter that they were verifying my banking details. What is strange is that when I contacted the call centre, the agent told me delay was caused by the fact that on the system they have a Standard Bank account while I actually bank with FNB and have sent the proof thereof. I tried to book an appointment to visit a branch but the system would only allow a video or telephone engagement due to Covid restrictions. I have tried to resent my banking details and IRP5 forms. Looks there will be more delays in processing the payment while it is difficult and frustrating to deal with SARS.
