SARS slow when it comes to Refund

Good day, I submitted my tax on 01 July 2018. I noticed on the 2nd of July 2018 I needed to submit an outstanding return for 2009? I submitted all supporting documents as required on the 3rd of July 2018. I called the callcentre on the 17th of July 2018 to follow up on my verification for 2009 as this was the only year I was verified for. The callcentre lady said that she will query with an auditor as to why I was not yet refunded as I was not selected for verification for 2018.I received another email via correspondence on 17 July advising me that SARS was verifying me now for 2018 as well........even though this was not requested . I submitted all documents on 18 July 2018. I have not received any feedback and when I called SARS I was told that I am still being verified for 2009 and 2018.This has now been more than the 21 work days deadline for verification for the 2009. My tax should be straight forward as I am only claiming medical and provided the medical tax certificate and forward my IRP5 as requested. Can someone please assist? Thanks Mr SJ Mattheus
