SARS Payout

So in July 2024, I resigned as an educator after teaching for 6 years and worked out my 3 months notice. I received an opportunity to go an work abroad.

I can still recall in August of 2024, the Western Cape Education Department specifically stated that all documentation has been submitted successfully and payment has been made by the GEPF. To this date, i have yet to receive a cent from SARS.

I am appalled at the fact that after almost 6 months, I have not been paid out to this day. When i contacted SARS, all they gave me was a case number but not one consultant could tell me where my monies were after providing them with multiple bank statements.

This is just another reason why not moving back to South Africa is not an option.
