SARS Failing Taxpayers

SARS has failed to finalise my tax returns and audit documents for over three months now despite the law allowing them 21 days to do so. Repeated calls (more than ten calls) and many reference numbers and countless escalations later my matter remains unresolved. SARS has become so indifferent that even posting this matter on X has not moved them. Now I am trying Hellopeter. I will be reporting this matter also to the tax ombudsman as what SARS is doing to taxpayers is simply *******. They now hang up every time I call them, having been caller number 700 and holding on for more than four hours to speak to a consultant. This is the worst of SARS I have experienced in over 30 years of being a taxpayer in South Africa.
