SARS does not share information with first time drivers so they can charge a fine

Today at the Beitbridge border post, we crossed with a Zimbabwean registered vehicle. The staff at SARS did not assist with the declaration of the vehicle and the border control who are supposed to check that everything is in order let the car cross to South Africa. Upon return a lady called Amukelani refused to assist and told us we were ******** yet it was our first time crossing with a Zimbabwean vehicle. She then demanded a spot fine of R1500 which was to be paid before crossing back into Zimbabwe. This is a money making **** by SARS and some action needs to be taken against this organization that is robbing unsuspecting travellers. The attitude we got from Amukelani was something worse than bad customer service. She went on to have her lunch while we waited without being told what was happening. The worst part is that when I asked for her name so I could address she became rude and told me she didn't have to talk to me yet her job is to help the public. SARS employees at the Beitbridge border post are not professional and are rude to everybody they help.

After waiting for 30 minutes we asked to see the manager and she responded with a laugh ridiculing us saying obviuosly there is a manager who would come at their pace. This is the worst travelling experience caused by people who do no understand why people get to travel and see other places. During this while ordeal Aukelani has been laughing shouting that she wants to be fixed and we should report. How is it possible that someone can be employed by a reputable organisation and not guard their job jealously?
