SARS, does anything work?

A more usless organistaion I have yet to coma across. I needed a tax number, as I had been out of SA for many years, and not worked inn SA since 1997. So I asked SARS what my tax number was. The form they wanted filled in asked for my tax number, a Ctach-22 situation. So i tried phoning them having got their number from the website, That number has been disconnected. So i got back onto their website, and was asked to fill in their survey, which i wanted to do, to tell them what I thought. I started filling it in and was then told that the survey was no longer in use. So their contact number does not work, neither does their survey page. But i finally found a number for them, and was told that i was number 240 in the queue, so I hung on, and on, and on for more than an hour, before giving up and wanting to slit my wrists.
