SARS Auditing is **** for delayed returns!

SARS auditing is a delayed scheme

I submitted my required documents, as requested by SARS, on the the 9th of July 2021 - after which they had subjected my return for auditing. This process takes 21 days and I have gone through it before.

It is now been 40 days and from a biblical proportion, 40 nights as well.

I've called the call center more than 5 times in attempt to find out why the delay is happening ad if I could get an update, instead I met with the same autogenerated copy-paste e-mail each and every single week on a Sunday Morning stating that my return is subject to audit. Is there a glitch in the system that takes my PAYE each month with fail and proper calculation? Is that the case of an organisation that is quick to take money from you and when it comes to paying you what's owed back to you, somehow have an issues; or is this the utter incompetence of the staff which constantly "escalate" issues and supply me with what seems to be bogus email address of line managers, in my case a "***" which still has not responded?

I've gone as far as to welcoming SARS investigators to my home to come and confirm whether I actually have a home office as they've threatened to do so in a MyBroadband article a few weeks ago - I welcome this.

All my documents, for each claim are meticulously filed and ready for verification, but I have no luck in knowing what they want because of that same autogenerated copy-paste e-mail sent to me before even Jesus wakes up on a Sunday Morning.

Who is the case worker? is he/she slacking? Who can I escalate this matter to? is there anything outstanding from my side that you need? WHAT IS REQUIRED? why is the communication so limited?
