SARS

It has now been 3 month battle with SARS to get my Tax Return finalized. It amazes me that when SARS ows you a refund how pathetic and time consuming there service is. When you owe them how quickly they nail you with extravigent penalties with interest calculated daily. There 21 days has now turned into 90 days since no resolve after call after call I today get told there is no time limit to remove a stopper as my banking detail changed. I followed all there procuders and guidelines to get this done via efiling as well as not spending less than 30 hours sitting at the branch to submit documents as well as verification let to little avail nothing been done. I am so disgusted with the level and service presented at the offices aswell as via the helpline I am sitting here with no idea where to turn or how I can be assisted in this regard. I am currently unemployed (retrenched) months ago unable to make rent or anything at this stage and with this economy work situations not great either the refund could at least keep roof over our heads for a month and food but nevertheless nothing from SARS....really disgusted the honest and loyal suffer yet the dishonest and ********** live strong us that loyalty pay our taxes when required do so faithfully but we the ones that suffer at the end and get taken advantage of.....
