Rude and Dismissive Agent and Case Closed Without Resolution!

I wanted to deregister my business and so I wanted a tax clearance certificate. I went to the branch last week to do this. After waiting for a long time, I was eventually assisted by a consultant, who said that since I don't have the supporting documents, I would have to come in again or I could make a telephonic appointment. I chose to make a telephonic appointment instead of coming back in to the branch. I had an appointment for a week ahead of the initial branch visit so I had to wait for a whole week. When the day came for the appointment, I received a missed call from Sars well before the scheduled time but I could not answer the call. I then received a call at the scheduled time only to be told the document I submitted was not certified properly. I was then told to submit the correctly certified document before 12pm on the same day, which I did, hoping that I will be contacted immediately or at least an hour from that point. I waited the whole day for her call but I never received it up until nearly the end of the day at about 3:30 pm. I could not answer those calls. I received another call in the morning at 07:49 but again I could not answer that call. One would assume that these people would call during office hours but I received the calls at the most inconvenient times, and she didn't even bother to contact me a few minutes later when I was available so it's a case of being contacted when I'm unavailable and then when I am available I receive no phone calls from Sars.

I decided to contact the Sars call centre to find out what was going on and an agent told me that the case was closed by the agent due to unanswered calls and that I needed to book another case and resubmit the documents. I told her I already did this and asked for more clarity but she just cut the call on me. Even when explaining, she did not clarify anything and kept around in circles. I simply sought more clarity and that thing just cut the call on me! Wow!

I am so disgusted and angry at the unprofessionalism and disrespect from that thing as well as being sent from pillar to post, only for my case to be closed without any resolution! I mean these people didn't even bother to call me at a more convenient time but just decided to close my case when I could not answer their calls when they were most inconvenient for me!
