Refund pending because of outstanding Submission 2008 (Actually Submitted through efiling)

<p>As a tax payer i submit my returns every financial year within prescribed time.Come this year i have not waisted anytime and submitted my 2017 return on the 03rd of July 2017 with a refund owed to me by SARS.As i work with colleaugues of mine i then noticed that within one week they received their refunds which promted me to call in as to why my refund has not been paid out yet.I called in and only to be told there is a submission outstanding for Tax Preriod 2008.</p> <p> </p> <p>I told the agent that it was submitted through Efiling on 15/10/2008 and Assessed by SARS on 23/10/2008.I was told that it shows at SARS it was never submitted yet it shows on my returns search all my returns that has been submitted via efiling.I have even connected with the Agent online so that he can see for himself that it has been submitted and the errors that reflects when trying to resubmit.</p> <p> </p> <p>Then i was told to resubmit but the system is showing two errors if i try and resubmit.The 1st error before i want to click on the 2008 return shows the following;"There has been an error. Please try again or contact us if the problem persists ( ********** 88)."If i click on the 2008 return i get another error in red saying;Please try again or contact us if the problem persists ( ********** 32).I was told that this will be escalated in the week of the 10th of July 2017.I called back to follow up on the 24th of July and was told that everything has been resolved my refund will be paid out soonest.Today i felt just to make sure id call in again and low and behold just as i thought the agent Musa tells me no refund will be paid out unless i resubmit outstanding Tax Return for 2008.Whiskey Tango Foxtrot!!!!! SERIOUSLY!!!!!!</p> <p> </p> <p>Again now Musa have escalated and said i will have to wait on SARS to call me back to assist.I dont know what else to believe anymore.I have 6 case numbers and still no joy or resolution to this matter.Why was i not told about this in the previous financial years after submitting my tax returns and receiving my refunds? Why am i only told now that i was not supposed to get any refund in previous financial years because of ommitted 2008 return that WAS ACTUALLY SUBMITTED ON THE 15/10/2008 AND ASSESSED BY SARS ON THE 23/10/2008.
