Pending registration

I went to SARS on Tuesday 23rd October 2018 to submit my ID, proof of residence, and bank statements during the morning. Then right after created an efile account.

I also received efiling help from one the agents. She said that my account should be activated by end of Wednesday, and I should be able to submit my tax returns by Friday.

Ever since Wednesday, I kept trying to get into contact with SARS to check my status of the pending registration. But now I am always on hold, and I have been waiting for hours between refreshing the web page to try a new call request. I have not been able to reach SARS since.

I cannot understand why this is so, especially when this only occurs when it is the final step to completing my returns.
