Pathetic service

After going to SARS last year September to do exiling&everything was confirmed&I was even given proof that I didn't owe them. Got and SMS on the 9th march stating that I owe R1833.59. Asked myself how can I owe such a lot of money within a period of 6 months. Decided to call SARS call center&had a pretty bad experience with a consultant by the name of Cathy who even refused to give me her last name. She was very rude to a point where she even asked me why did I file a return for 2018. She said on the SARS system it doesn't show any record of any filing I did last September & she asked for a reference number. I went to SARS in centurion to do my efiling &what was the point of asking them then for a reference when I was assured that I wasn't owing SARS & I was given a statement that showed a nil balance.someone needs to explain all this to me.
