Pathetic - SARS!

I submitted my tax return, my tax return was audited. After the audit, they requested supporting documents to verify my banking details. I submitted these to them on 26 July 2023. Friday 25 August was exactly 21 business days. I called SARS 4 times today and two live chats. The live chat agent told me that my documents are there, but has not been assigned to anyone yet. WTH! I lodged a complaint with SARS today. Unfortunately, I cannot lodge a complaint with the OTO. This means, that SARS take their time to get back to me once again within a 21 business day period, of which they are notoriously known for not taking serious. I am probably going to wait for my refund until next year. Money that SARS should have never taken in the first place.
