OUTSTANDING 2009 RETURN WHCH WAS SUBMITED IN 2009

Hi. When I was submitting my returns or 2019, I got a notification that my 2009 tax returns were outstanding, of which all these years I was submitting and never had an issue with the 2009 returns. I went to the Centurion branch and submitted all the documentation for 2009 and was told to wait for 60 day. I called in on the 26 of November for the follow up (with ***) and I was told that my dispute was has not been action and the consultant said he will escalate.

I called in today 05 December 2019 (***) and talked to Kholo Mphahlele of which when I was explaining to her she just went dead on the phone and I had to ask if she was still there and if she understands what I am saying and she told me she does not know and she does not have an answer (Of which I believe when you do not know – you ask the client to hold and get some help from other colleagues or manager) and that was the end of my call.

This have affected my 2019’s return because, the money that I was supposed to get back has been taken by the 2009 amount of which was paid to me that year and ever since 2009 I had never missed any deadline nor do not submit

So is this the way SARS work with their clients. I am really very disappointed, you take a lot of money from us tax payers but you are not doing the right things from your side. Why is your disputing process take this long?
