No penalties for SARS itself?

So here’s the rub - we get penalised when missing submission deadlines, but SARS itself doesn’t 😞.

Needed to submit verification documents for 2020 return, did so within just a day or two on 5 October - not a word from SARS since then, never mind that the 21 business days for them to reply have lapsed long ago.

All call center agents can say is, “it’s still with the auditing department.”

That is to say a call center agent I can actually hear (after waiting in the queue for 10min) because a call back returned simply resulted in a dead line on the other end.

Yikes! We are powerless. What was due from us was taken, now what’s due to us…hmm.
