Inhumane Service and Treatment of SARS on tax paying people

I lost my job in April 2023. Am waiting for UIF and pension fund to pay out just to be told sorry SARS has your income tax number as in active. Which is weird because I was paying my taxes every year and there was no complaint from SARS. Tried phoning, no success. Made an appointment just to be told I had to wait another 21 days to "maybe" have my income tax number activated. I am without income and the little bit I can get I have no access to because SARS refuse to reactivate my income tax number. If you do not pay SARS they are like hounds out of hell but the moment that they should do their part, they are slow and in no hurry to assist. There must be something to be done. I mean I paid my taxes why are SARS unwilling to just press a button and fix my situation. I am in dire need of funds and due to SARS I have access to none.
