incompetence

Good day

I am extremely disappointed at SARS(South Africa revenue service)I submitted my 2017 return in July 2019 and it was referred for assessment it's almost 6 months later ,everytime I follow up I am told it's not finalised and there is no turn around time ,how long does it take to do assessment surely 6 months it's more than enough time to do the assessment.i submitted all the required supporting documents ,how long must one wait to receive thier refunds from SARS.
