Impossible to complain to SARS

After eFiling made and error and SARS gave me a penalty and started charging me interest, I tried to resolve the issue by visiting a SARS office and talked on various occasions with SARS officials which ended with a zoom meeting that lasted for an hour. After the meeting the facilitator wrote a detailed report explaining the issue and advised that I should be refunded. When nothing happened and I even complained to the Tax Ombudsman who only passed my complaint on to SARS and further did nothing. My understanding from the ombudsman is that they eventually have to decide whether I have a valid complaint or not. After battling for more than a year with *********** SARS officials I decided to give up because I am getting nowhere. SARS is the most difficult company to talk to but makes sure they make it as difficult as possible to get errors on their side fixed.
