Illogical Behaviour

Yesterday my wife went to the mobile clinic of SARS in Potchefstroom.

There were two queues: one to confirm the documents the public have with them are correct and the second to help the public with their tax returns.

My wife had to wait four hours in the first queue just to find out the three forms of proof of address she had were not accepted by SARS.

This after she tried to find out immediately after arriving there if she had the correct documents. Somebody could just have looked and told her she was wasting her time to stand in the queue.

Instead of letting people stand so long in two queues, why can SARS not have somebody walk the queue and have a quick look at the documents in the possession of the public to save their public's time?

Don't get me wrong. SARS is efficient, but things like this should be avoided. What makes this worse is that there is nowhere to complain or to make suggestions.

Please, SARS, make it easier for us.
