Extremely Disappointed with Turn Around Audit System and Audit Delivery.
Good day, I attended Sars on the 19/07/2018 to submit my tax returns for 2018. Firstly the consultant forgot to enter my medical aid tax certificate and had to resubmit my return. Due to this it came back has an audit. My return was fairly simply has I never go onto audit. She advised that the audit turn around time was 21 days. I called the sars call center in the 13/08/2018 and my case was excalated for priority. I called thereafter on the 20/08/2018 and was advised that the audit is still incomplete and after excalation there is no turn around time, it's just a waiting game that could even take months. Once again I have been calling ever second day and still the case is with the auditors incomplete. I find this waiting indefinitely very disatisfying has we wait a year to receive these monies and considering that I am unemployed currently it becomes more stressful playing this waiting game. I find this to be very poor service delivery. I have tried to e-file before going into the branch and the system kept on saying that my banking details were incorrect which is unlikely due to me having the same banking details for years now. I am extremely disappointed with the service at sars and wish that my case could get some immediate attention seeing that its just and individual return and not a company return. Its so easy for sars to penalise which they have done to me before but can't finalise and pay my returns within the 21 days turn around time.
