Due To Me in closed account

My SARS due to me was sent to my closed Absa account and had to bounce back 10 days after payment was made. The payment was made on the 23rd of August and today is the 2nd of October and my money has not been bounced back to SARS. Went to both branches to have this sorted and the Absa consultants told me they cannot help me cause the account is closed even though on SARS side it shows the money is with Absa. This has been such a huge inconvenience and I still have not been assisted with steps i need to take for the money to bounce back. The consultants cannot show me an actual document i can share as proof to ABSA for them to even try locating the money. Huge nightmare
